Athena Crowdsourced Research was created to learn and grow alongside the cultivation community. Over two years, we explored polysaccharides, fulvics, seaweed extracts, botanical extracts, organic acids, amino acids, and varying levels of phosphorus, potassium, and micronutrients.
Across 70 trials with 45 growers in 45 unique grow environments, we found that combining fulvics with optimized phosphorus and potassium levels, plus a balanced micronutrient profile, helps optimize nutrient use efficiency. This enables the plant to reach its full genetic potential, bringing out yield, terpenes, and overall flavor and quality.

Steady EC feeding means keeping the same EC throughout the cycle. The grower varies the amount of actual nutrients delivered to the plant by increasing or decreasing the number of irrigation events throughout the cycle. When managing substrate dry backs properly this can result in “EC stacking” which increases the total available nutrients in the substrate during high-demand periods. Using this method simplifies mixing and reduces chance of error during batch tank preparation.
